HOSPITALITY: we strive to welcome all members and to keep this space spiritually nourishing for all.

 

CONSIDERATION: we strive to honor others, even or especially those with whom we differ. Understanding that we cannot control others' reactions, we nonetheless take responsibility for the impact as well as the intent of what we do.

 

RECONCILIATION: when the impact of our actions is hurtful to another person, we seek all the more to understand our sister's or brother's reaction and perspective and to mend the relationship.

 

RESPONSIBILITY: We "own" our opinions by making "I-statements" rather than statements such as "any reasonable person knows ..." We share responsibility for maintaining community norms

 

GENEROSITY: We offer our gifts to the community freely, make clear if there are limitations on others' use of them, and strive to make those limitations minimal.

 

RESPECT: We give appropriate credit to the creators of resources and authors of ideas we circulate, use, or adapt. Plagiarism is theft as well as dishonesty.

 

Suggestions with respect to the norms are welcome: there is a forum area specifically for that purpose.
