Who We Are
Province One is comprised of the seven Dioceses of New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Western Massachusetts. We are one of the nine provinces in the Episcopal Church. We represent a broad spectrum of rural, urban and suburban parishes, ethnic and racial cultures, church size, liturgical diversity and differences in theological perspectives.
Our Province defines, in part, how the dioceses work together through networking, sharing resources, and establishing collaborative ministries.
We have a history of working well together, creating new intitatives, and offering them not only to our own dioceses but also to the Church at large.
Connections through, and on behalf of, our ministries
are critical to who we are as a Province
