Affiliated Groups

Province One supports many networks and groups of faithful Episcopalians, working to accomplish God's mission in  the seven dioceses of New England, the wider church, and the world.  Some groups are formed around a specific project, only for a short time.  Others are on-going, supported with resources from our dioceses, Province, and the wider Church.

Anti-Racism Network

Mr. Bates Lyons    ablyonsden@aol.com

We assist our dioceses in carrying out our Church's commitment to provide all leaders with basic anti-racism training. We coordinate and assist with programs that address individual and personal issues, such as white privilege and interlocking oppressions, and are creating opportunities for us to come together to meet the challenge of addressing institutional oppression in our church structures.

Campus Ministry Network (formerly Higher Education Network)

The Rev. Josh Thomas      jmthomas@bu.edu

The Campus Ministry Network brings together college students and those who work with them on campuses and in parishes in New England for spiritual growth, the development of ministry skills, and fellowship.  Our membership includes approximately sixty lay and ordained leaders who have responsibility for chaplaincy or parish-based programs serving college students or who actively reach out to college students through their parishes.

Chancellors Group

Mr. Edmund C. Bennett, Esq.    ecb@edmundbennett.com

Chancellors oversee legal affairs on behalf of the dioceses. The group without our Province gathers at least once each year to consult on matters pertaining to common life in the dioceses and our Church.

Christian Formation Network (soon to include the Youth Network)

Ms. Mary Ann Kolakowski    maryann@episcopalri.org

Strengthen, oh Lord your servants with your holy spirit and empower us and sustain us all the days of our lives.
(BCP, 418)

As people of faith, we are a community on a life-long transformative journey with Christ and each other, living out our Baptismal promises within the Episcopal Tradition.  We ...Assist, Share, Gather, Worship, Consult, Support, Learn, Teach... Together.

Deacons' Network

The Rev. Kyle Pedersen    kyle_pedersen@yahoo.com

In our Province, Deacons and those supportive of the diaconal ministry gather at the bi-annual Deacons' Conference.   Begun in 2004, these  events offer opportunities for networking, support, and further enrichment of this servant ministry.

Diocesan Executives Network

The Rev. Canon Cynthia Hubbard

    chubbard@diomass.org

The Province One Executives Network is comprised of the senior staff -- Canons to the Ordinary, Canons for Transition and Congregational Development -- for the dioceses in Province One.  Each diocese decides who participates in this Network. We meet to be as support to each other in ministry:  as church staff, as church professionals, as human beings.  There is an understood importance to building colleagial relationships.  We also serve as a support/teaching group for new senior staff entering a diocesan system.

Hispanic Ministries Network

The Rev. Michael DeVine  ap735@earthlink.net

Clergy and lay representatives from each diocese come together bi-monthly for mutual support and program development.  We plan regional activites for the training and continued formation of lay leaders within the Hispanic congregations, creating a community among our individual ministries.

Youth Ministries Network (soon to join the Christian Formation Network)

Ms. Emily Perow    eperow@ctdiocese.org

The mission of the Province of New England Youth Network is to support diocesan and congregational youth leaders in their ministries.  We share resources, events, and expertise, with the goal of helping young people grow in the knowlege and love of Jesus Christ.
