Resources

Province One offers many organizations and opportunities to become involved with mission and ministry in our dioceses and congregations, to deepen our knowledge, and to enact God's mission.

Altar Guild

Ms. Nancy Feid    tel. 508.695.9798

Members come from both sexes, all ethnic groups and ages. We follow various styles of worship and interpretations of theology within the Church. We offer many individual gifts and talents, such as needle arts, flower arranging, writing, speaking and teaching. We share a great diversity among us Episcopalians, we stay abreast of liturgical changes not only in ceremony but also in the furnishings of worship, and we help solve contemporary altar guild problems.

The Order of the Daughters of the King is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. We have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and we follow Him as Lord of our lives. We are an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the Historic Episcopate. Today our membership includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches.

National Episcopal Health Ministries

Ms. Ginny Wagenseller, RN, FCN   ginny.wagenseller@gmail.com

Health ministry in a local congregation is an intentional ministry focusing on both healing and health, combining the ancient traditions of the Christian community and the knowledge and tools of modern health care.

Health ministry is often, though not exclusively, led and coordinated by a parish nurse. Health ministry looks different from congregation to congregation, reflecting the needs, interests and resources of the faith community. Health ministry does not replicate services that already exist in the community, but rather works with community partners and resources.
Health ministry is a living witness of the healing activity of God through the local congregation, encouraging whole-person health.  Episcopal Health Ministries

Pastoral Resource--Same-Gender Couples

Pastoral Resources for Province One Episcopal Clergy Ministering to Same-Gender Couples is meant to be simply that: a pastoral resource for clergy in the Province of New England.  It does not focus on the current discussion in the Anglican Communion nor does it address the ongoing controversy within The Episcopal Church related to same-gender blessings.  The Task Force which created the Resource is  aware and appreciative of the tension associated with these issues in the wider Anglican Communion and in The Episcopal Church.  The resulting tension pains us, and we hope for a day when unity on these issues may be achieved.  We feel that sharing this information with clergy who counsel same-gender couples is a step forward in providing needed pastoral support and a labor of love and reconciliation.  We present our findings with tenderness, hoping that all who read this document may find it helpful.  The Resource
