Welcome to the Province of New England!

The Province

Province 1 is comprised of the seven Dioceses of New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Western Massachusetts. We are one of the nine provinces in the Church, and our geography allows us to work together easily.

We represent a broad spectrum of rural, urban and suburban parishes, ethnic and racial cultures, liturgical diversity and differences in theological perspectives.

The Province defines, in part, how the dioceses work together through networking and interweaving ministries among the dioceses.
