Seed Money for Growing God's Mission

The Executive Committee is now accepting grant applicaitons from Province I members for mission-oriented projects or programs.  Grants of $500-$2,500 are available for collaborative projects/programs that involve two or more Province I dioceses. Proposals are accepted throughout the year until funds are exhausted. We anticipate that most projects/programs will occur within the fiscal year, though multi-year efforts will be accepted with assumption that the grant could be renewed or extended into another fiscal year.    Download the application form (.pdf) and complete details at the link below.You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader if you use the .pdf. $1,000 to the New England Deacons Network for their Sept 28-30, 2012 Conference

Crushing Poverty: Service and Solidarity with those on the Edge is a NEDN biennial conference for deacons, deacons in formation, and those friends who support deacons and diaconal ministries in Province One and beyong, Friday-Sunday, September 28-30, at the Sheraton, Framingham, MA. Conference presentations and workshops will explore urban and rural domestic poverty and address questions of how to live and work meaningfully and faithfully alongside and among those who are poor in our communities.  Participants will be invited to identify what they are and cab be doing in their diaconal ministries to address poverty and economic injustice.  A $225 registration fee per person includes meals and all conference activities, but does not include lodging.
